Our Chitwan Wildlife Tour is built for travelers who want more than mountains and temples—they want the living, breathing jungle. Just a five-hour scenic drive from Kathmandu delivers you to Chitwan, literally the “heart of the jungle,” where the country’s first national park was established in 1973. Inside this UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll follow a carefully planned Chitwan wildlife tour itinerary that balances thrill and comfort: open-top jeep rides through tall elephant grass, slow canoe drifts past sun-bathing gharials, and quiet forest walks guided by expert naturalists.
This all-inclusive Chitwan wildlife tour package (priced at US $251 per person) gives you a real chance to spot one-horned rhinos, mugger crocodiles, playful langur monkeys, and—with luck—an elusive Bengal tiger. Bird-watchers will love it too; more than 250 species, from iridescent kingfishers to giant hornbills, fill the canopy. Evenings wind down with rhythmic Tharu dance, showcasing the culture of the park’s indigenous guardians. Whether you call it a jungle safari in Chitwan or a quick escape from the city, this short adventure proves Nepal isn’t just about peaks—it’s also about pristine lowland forests teeming with life.
